Hassan: A woman who approached Hassan police seeking help to trace her missing father, later turned out to be his killer.
The accused Vidya was arrested by the police along with her paramour Chidananda and Raghu in connection with the case.
As per the police, Vidya had separated from her husband and was in a relationship with Chidananda. When her father, Muniraju got to know of her affair he confronted her and advised her to make amends. Angered by this, Vidya is said to have plotted his murder and even paid a supari of Rs 15 lakh to execute the same.
On August 23, the trio killed Muniraju and disposed his body into the backwaters of Hemavati river. Later to avoid any suspicions on her she went and filed a missing complaint.
Vidya, however, broke down when subjected to intensive interrogation and confessed to the crime.
