Davangere police have made some headway in the case of the murder of two men, Anjaneya alias Anjani (30) and Madhu (28), who were accused in the murder case of Shivamogga’s notorious rowdy sheeter Handi Anni.
Four individuals identified as Sunil, Venkatesh, Abhilash, and Pawan, all from Shivamogga, have been arrested in connection with the fatal attack on Anjani and Madhu.
According to reports, the four accused surrendered to the Shiggavi police in the Haveri district, where they were arrested. The police are currently interrogating the suspects to gather more information about the case.
It may be recollected that Anjani, Madhu, and another person were returning from a court appearance in Shivamogga when they were intercepted by four individuals in a Scorpio near Chilur-Govinakovi in Davangere district. The miscreants attacked the duo with lethal weapons, leading to Anjani and Madhu’s deaths on the spot, while the person who was accompanying them was seriously injured and admitted to McGann Hospital in Shivamogga.
Anjani and Madhu were out on bail just a few days prior to the attack. The police are investigating the case.
