Davanagere: Family of student killed in Ukraine decides to donate the body to medical college

Davanagere: In a noble act, the family of Naveen SG, who was killed in Kharkiv in war-torn Ukraine, has decided to donate his body to a medical college.
Talking at a function at Kannada Kumpempu Bhavana here, Dr. Shivamurthi Shivacharya Swamiji of the Sirigere Tarlabalu Bruhanmatha said that he received a call from Naveen’s father informing his decision to donate Naveen’s body to the S. S. Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre in Davanagere.
Shekhar Gowda, the father of Naveen, wanted his son to serve society as a doctor, but he could not realize his dreams. The cadaver will be donated so that in his death Naveen could help in the studies of future medical students, the seer said.
Naveen’s body is expected to reach Bengaluru reach on Monday. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai of Friday tweeted that his mortal remains will reach Bengaluru at 3 AM on March 21.
