Davanagere: Final rites of Chandrashekhar to be held at Kundur

Davangere: The final rites of Chandrashekhar (24), the nephew of Honnali MLA and BJP leader M P Renukacharya, will be held in Kundur.

The cremation will take place at the family’s coconut grove in Kundur and preparations are underway for the same.

Chandrashekhar who was missing since October 30, was found dead inside his car in the Tunga canal near Kadakatte village in Honnali taluk on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Chandrashekhar’s mortal remains were brought to Honnalli after completing an autopsy and have been kept for public viewing. Leaders including former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, and former minister K S Eshwarappa visited the grieving family and offered their condolences.

Business establishments in Kundur have been voluntarily shut down as a mark of tribute.
