Davangere: COVID-19 patient commits suicide in private hospital

Davangere: A COVID-19 positive man committed suicide by hanging himself in a private hospital’s ward on the afternoon of Sunday, August 23.

The deceased has been reported as Shashidar (55), a resident of SS Layout in the town here.

Shashidhar was admitted to the hospital four days ago after reporting positive for COVID-19.

It is being said that he was depressed due to his diagnosis and hanged himself on the fan using a cloth.

A case has been registered at the Vidyanagar police station.
