Davangere: Youth killed in road mishap during New Year celebration

Davangere: A tragic accident claimed the life of a youth during New Year celebrations late Tuesday night in Davangere.

The deceased has been identified as Karthik, a resident of Nittuvalli Hosabudanavane.

The incident occurred on Nutan College Road in Davangere during New Year’s festivities. A horrific collision between a bike and a car resulted in the death of Karthik, while another individual sustained serious injuries.

The accident happened around 1 a.m. when Karthik and his friend were riding a bike. A car rammed into their vehicle, leading to Karthik’s death and leaving his friend critically injured. The severity of the crash completely mangled the bike.

The car driver fled the scene immediately after the accident. A case has been registered at the Vidyanagar Police Station, and investigations are ongoing.
