Cricket star David Warner is once again creating a stir, but this time it’s not on the cricket field. Rumours are swirling that the Australian opener might make a cameo appearance in Pushpa 2: The Rule, one of the most awaited films of the year. This speculation has set social media abuzz, especially after leaked photos surfaced online showing Warner in a stylish gangster avatar, gripping a golden handgun.
Warner’s love for Indian cinema, particularly Telugu films, has been evident ever since he started posting TikToks and reels mimicking iconic Tollywood stars. During the pandemic, he gained a massive following by recreating famous scenes and dance numbers from South Indian blockbusters. He even once joked about wanting to act in Pushpa 2.
Fans are now wondering if that joke has turned into reality. Recent reports suggest that Warner may indeed appear in an action-packed sequence in the film. However, neither Warner nor the film’s production team, Mythri Movie Makers, have confirmed these rumours. Still, fans can’t help but imagine Warner sharing screen space with Allu Arjun in a high-octane face-off!

Pushpa 2 is the much-anticipated sequel to the 2021 hit Pushpa: The Rise, which was a massive box-office success and earned Allu Arjun a National Film Award for his performance as Pushpa Raj. Directed by Sukumar, the film revolves around the smuggling of red sandalwood in the Seshachalam forests and a power struggle that ensues.
Initially slated for release on August 15, 2024, the makers have now pushed the date to December 6 due to extensive post-production work. This move sets up a potential box-office clash with Chhava, starring Vicky Kaushal. Interestingly, Rashmika Mandanna, who plays Srivalli in Pushpa 2, also stars in Chhava, making it a double treat for her fans.
While fans eagerly wait for official confirmation on Warner’s appearance, one thing is certain—Pushpa 2 is gearing up to be a cinematic spectacle, and if Warner joins the cast, it will only heighten the excitement.
