DC advises healthy people not to wear masks

Mangaluru: Deputy commissioner (DC) of Dakshina Kannada district Sindhu B Rupesh has advised that only those people who are ill or showing symptoms of COVID-19 should wear facemasks and healthy people need not wear one.
She said this at a meeting of entrepreneurs and industrialists of the district at the DC’s office on Monday, March 16.
She further stated that everything is done to ensure that there is no shortage of masks and sanitizers in the district and the drug control department has already started to keep a close tab on the prices of these items.
