DC Priyanka Mary Francis asks officials to be ready to face monsoon

Udupi: Deputy Commissioner Priyanka Mary Francis, said that the district is ready to respond any kind of calamity during the monsoon.

DC claimed that, helpline services would be functional 24×7 and nodal officers will be opened in all the 7 taluks of the district. Divers and other required professionals will be pressed into action. The DC has asked the officials to make sure that there are enough boats kept ready.

DC said that report with regard to compensations in case of loss of life, livestock and property would be prepared soon and she directed all the Tahshildars to ensure that compensation dispensation takes place without any delay.

DC asked the GP officials and Mines and Geology officials to ensure safety of quarry sites and to fence the area to avoid any untoward incidents.
