DC visits Pacchanadi, Mandara areas

Mangaluru: The new DK Deputy Commissioner Sindhu Rupesh visited Pachanady and Mandara areas on Wednesday, which recently suffered garbage landslide.
Initially, the DC visited Pachanady dumping yard and then visited Kulashekhar Housing Board where the victims from Mandara have been provided with temporary accommodation. She listened to the problems of the victims there. The DC assured that the district administration would provide all forms of assistance to the victims.
The DC later held discussions with the officials and advised to create two plans for solving the problem. A plan must be created to dispose the garbage which has slipped down at Pacchanady. A comprehensive report must be submitted regarding the rehabilitation and necessary compensation for the victims of Mandara. Later, a proposal in this concern will be sent to the state government, she informed.
Expert committee created
Meanwhile, the state government has created a committee made of fur experts to study the garbage collapse at Pachanady.
