DCM Dr Ashwath Narayana extends support for Kambala sport

Bantwal: Deputy chief minister Dr Ashwath Narayana on Saturday said that he will extend complete support for Kambala sport.

Addressing the gathering at Hokkabigoli Veera Vikrama Jodukare Bayalu Kambala, Ashwath Narayana said, ” We will provide complete support including financial help for the Kambala spot and will also encourgae to extend this spot to Bengaluru also.

He further added, “Kambala committee has brought to my notice about the hindrances faced by the sport. All of us young leaders will unite to remove them.”

Meanwhile, BJP Yuva Morcha chief secretary B Y Vijayendr said that he has accepted the invitation to conduct Kambala sport in Shivamogga. “Government should think of making Kambala more attractive. Leaders should discuss the matter with the chief minister,” he added.

Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik presided over the programme. Moodbidri MLA Umanath Kotian, Beltangady MLA Harish Poonja, former minister Nagaraja Shetty, Kuloor Pooyyolu, P Subrahmanya and Yadapadithaya from Mangalore University, Entrepreneur from Bengaluru Ramesh Shetty, BJP leader Jagadish Adhikari, Moodbidri Aramane’s Kuldeep Chowta, state BJP legal cell leader Soorath Kumar Karkala, High court advocate Arun Sham, BJP youth leader Sandesh Shetty Rayi, gram panchayat president Dayananda Safalya Kambala committee president Rashmith Shetty Kaithrodi and others were present.
