Bengaluru: IPS officer Bhaskar Rao, who was transferred to ADGP internal security division on Friday, July 31 thanked every citizen of Bengauru on August 1 after handed over charge of our City Police Kamal Pant,

Taking to Twitter he wrote, “Dearest Bangalureans, Handed overcharge of our City Police. From bottom of my heart, my gratitude to each and every citizen for unstinting support, cooperation, tolerance and help to Me and Team BCP in the roller coaster ride since August last, Ever remain your friend.”

Kamal Pant ADGP intelligence was appointed as the new Police Commissioner of Bengaluru on Friday, July 31. His predecessor Bhaskar Rao has been transferred to ADGP internal security division. The state government issued a notification to this effect on Friday, July 31.

Both Pant and Rao are 1990 batch IPS officers.
