Death toll reaches 22 at flood hit Kodagu

Mysuru: Two more bodies were recovered from the debris after flash floods and landslides created a havoc in Kodagu district. 

After this, the death toll has rised to 22.

The deceased are Mukattira Sabu Uthappa(62) from Moovathoplu village in Madapur and Gilbert Medonza(59) from Kaatageri village.

But two more people,  42- year- old Harish Kumar of Hebbaale village and 15- year- old Manjula of Jodpala village are still missing.

While 1,888 people remain in 17 relief camps, most of the 7,594  who had sought shelter in 51 relief centres, have now returned home with the situation returning to normal in the district .

Kodagu deputy commissionr, P I Srividya said that KSRTC mini buses are plying to Mysuru, Bengaluru and Sullia.
