Debt-ridden 28-year-old fakes suicide to avoid harrasment from money lenders

Mangaluru: A 28-year-old man who was believed to have committed suicide by jumping into the Netravathi river has been found in his relative’s house in Shimoga.

Praveen had reportedly faked his suicide as he was unable to repay debt. In order to avoid harassment by the money lenders he parked his vehicle near Netravathi bridge to make it appear that he jumped into the river.

Praveen after learning that his family members though he was dead, called them and informed them that he was fine and was staying at a relative’s house in Shimoga.
