Dec 19 unrest: Man arrested for hate posts

Mangaluru: A 48-year-old man accused of posting hate messages online in connection to the December 19 violence that broke out in the city during the anti-CAA protest was arrested on Thursday, January 2.

The arrested has been identified as Aboobakar Siddiq, a resident of Kodi Ullal. His arrest comes days after Mangaluru police arrested Moideen Hameez on Monday for allegedly posting a message of vowing to avenge the death of two persons killed in the police firing.

A case has been registered at Barke Police Station in the city.
