Def Min launches Pragati Raksha Kavacha scheme in Dharmasthala

Mangaluru: Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman launched the ‘Pragati Raksha Kavacha’ scheme in Dharmasthala on October 29.
Nearly 70 lakh members of the self-help groups, promoted by the Sri Kshethra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRP) would get the benefit of an insurance cover under the scheme, which has been introduced by entering into an agreement with Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of India.
Sitharaman also paid a visit to the Dharmasthala temple and sought the deity’s blessings
She was accompanied by MP Nalin Kumar Kateel and others.
