Demanding highway repair, Congress conducts Padyatra protest

Bantwal: A huge padyatra protest was carried out under the leadership of former minister B Ramanath Rai on Wednesday demanding that the national highway between Mangaluru-Bengaluru be repaired.
The protest march which began from Melkar junction , proceeded to B C Road Mini Veidhana Soudha, where a the tahsildar was requested to provide support for the repair of the highway.
Scores of Congress activists and leaders took part in the protest march.
