Demolition not pre-planned, court acquits all accused in Babri Masjid case

New Delhi: Observing that the demolition of Babri Masjit was not a pre-planned one, the CBI special court acquitted all the accused including BJP leader LK Advani, MM Joshi and Uma Bharti.
The case relates to the razing of the disputed structure in Ayodhya on December 6, 1992.
The Supreme Court had fixed September 30 as the deadline for the trial court to pronounce its judgement in the nearly three-decade old case.
A total of 32 persons were named as accused in the case.
