Denied entry into pub, gang assaults bouncers, vandalizes pub

Udupi: In a late-night incident that took place at Vidyaratna Nagar, Manipal a group of 10 to 12 people vandalized a pub after they were denied entry by the bouncers.

A complaint in this regard was lodged at Manipal police station by Prajwal who has taken the pub on lease.

As per the complaint, the gang had arrived at the pub late night on August 11 and were denied entry by the bouncers – Mukesh, Nikhil land Praneeth. Agitated by this the gang launched a murderous assault on the bouncers with beer bottles

The even vandalized the aquarium, computer and bar counters of the pub with stones and beer bottles, read the complaint.

Meanwhile, another person, Chetanraj Shetty from Katapadi Moodabettu also lodged a police complaint claiming that few persons had assaulted him with beer bottles and threatened to murder him when he was standing outside a bar at Vidyaratna Nagar at around 11.45 pm on August 10.
