Mysore/ Madikeri: A 18-year-old student committed suicide by jumping into a river, allegedly owing to frustration from the severe hair fall that she was experiencing.

The deceased, Neha Gangamma (18), a native of Madikeri was pursuing her studies in Mysuru.

As per reports, Neha had recently gone for straightening of her hair at a parlour located in VV Mohalla. However, post the hair treatment she started experiencing severe hair fall. Some three-four days back, Neha is said to have left from the PG stating that she was going to her parent’s house. But instead of going home, after arriving in Kodagu she is said to have jumped into the  Lakshmana Teertha river here.

As there was no news of their daughter, Neha’s parents’ registered a missing complaint at Jayalakshmi Puram police station in Mysore. Her body was found from the river on Saturday night.
