Deralakatte: Woman falls from the bus and dies

Mangaluru: A woman who sustained serious injuries after falling off from a bus near Kanachur hospital in Deralakatte on Tuesday breathed her last on Wednesday. The deceased is identified as Asiyamma Kakkinje (28).

On Tuesday, the victim was travelling in a KSRTC bus from Kinya when the incident occurred. The woman was alighting from the bus at the bus stop near Kanachur hospital, when the bus driver drove the bus suddenly leading to her being throw to the ground. Due to her fall she sustained grievous head injuries and she was immediately admitted to a private hospital in Deralakatte.

Based on a complaint by the victim’s brother Hasan Kakkinje, a case has been registered with Traffic South Police Station.
