New Delhi: A “mentally-disturbed” 40-year-old man allegedly let his elderly parents burn alive after setting his house on fire in west Delhi’s Moti Nagar, police said.
The accused, Santosh, started the fire that killed his parents, Chedi Lal (70) and Laxmi (62), in the early hours of Friday, and fled from the spot. Their tenant was also injured while trying to save the couple, they said.
“Santosh has been arrested.
It was found that he was mentally disturbed, and would harass his parents for money and fight with them over petty issues,” a police official said.
