Despite Covid-19, K’taka expected to generate more than 65,000 jobs: Jagadish Shettar

“Despite Covid-19 lockdown, Karnataka is expected to generate 65,459 direct employment opportunities as the state has attracted investments worth Rs 31,676.57 crore in the last five months” said Industries Minister Jagadish Shettar

Addressing a news conference on the occasion of completing one year in office, Shettar said,  ‘ These investments were cleared between March and August, with quick approvals by the State Level Single Window Clearance Committee (SLSWCC), State High-Level Clearance Committee (SHLCC) and the Land Approval Committee “

“Also, state government’s new industrial policy brings with it several incentives and regulatory reforms such as land access and labour market regulation,” he added
