Despite hike in price of essentials, this 85-year-old woman sells Idli for Just Rs. 1!

Following the COVID 19 lockdown, many people are finding it challenging to survive and the increased price of essentials has only worsened the situation for poor people.
Despite the hike in the commodity prices, an 85-year-old woman, K Kamaladhar from Tamil Nadu is selling Idli only for RS 1 to ensure that no one left hungry during difficult times.
“I am selling homemade Idli for Rs 1 just to ensure no one is hungry. Whatever reason it may be, I will not raise the price of idli,” said Kamaladhar.
She further added, “The situation got a little worse after COVID-19 pandemic. The price of essentials commodities has gone up. I have decided not to hike the price so that people can eat as much as they were during this difficult time.”
“It gives me immense satisfaction that are filling their stomachs with this low-priced idli,” she expressed.
Kamalathar is praised by everyone for her dedication to feeding the poor people and she has been selling idli for just 1 rupee from the past 30 years.
