Devadas Kapikad’s ‘Purushottamana Prasganga’ hits silver screen today

The much-anticipated film ‘Purushottamana Prasanga’, by director Devadas Kapikad, is set to hit the silver screen today, marking his directorial debut in Kannada cinema.
Known affectionately as “Telikeda Bolli” for his mastery in tickling the funny bones of Tulu moviegoers with impeccable comedic timing, Devdas Kapikad brings his signature flair to the Kannada film industry with this latest venture.
Under the banner of Rashtrakuta Pictures, the film stars newcomers Ajaya Pruthvi, Rishika Naik, and Deepika Dinesh in lead roles.
For Ajay, who steps into the spotlight as a protagonist for the first time, the expectations surrounding the movie are monumental.
Speaking about his role as Purushotham in the film, Ajay expressed, “The director has depicted Purushottam’s hilarious antics in his quest to reach Dubai through comedy. The storyline resonates strongly with families, encapsulating various themes such as the allure of foreign lands for both children and parents, juxtaposed with the inherent greatness of our nation. Ajay, who harbors a deep-rooted passion for theater, shared insights into his journey, stating, “Having nurtured a love for the stage since my formative years and honing my craft through Acting studies at the University of Toronto. Purushottama Prasanga marks my inaugural foray as a leading actor. I am eager to witness the audience’s reception of the film, confident that it will resonate authentically with viewers.”
