The 57th anniversary of Pattabhisheka of D Veerendra Heggade as Dharmadhikari of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala will be celebrated on October 24.

The Pattabhisheka of Dr. Veerendra Heggade, the hereditary administrator of the Dharmasthala Temple, took place on October 24, 1968. He became the 21st person in his line to hold the position at the age of 19.

Over the years, he has played a pivotal role in modernizing the traditional four-fold charitable practices while promoting the comprehensive development of the temple and the community. His efforts have led to Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala being recognized as a model temple on an international level.

The 57th anniversary celebration has created a festive atmosphere, with locals, temple staff, employees from SDM Educational Institutions, relatives, friends, and devotees from Dharmasthala planning to honor Dr. Heggade with reverence. As part of the celebrations, a fancy dress competition for temple staff is scheduled to take place on Thursday morning at the Amritavarshini Auditorium starting at 10 AM.

A formal felicitation program will be held at 4 PM in the Mahotsava Hall, chaired by Dr. CN Manjunath, the Member of Parliament for the Bengaluru Rural constituency. MLAs Harish Poonja and K. Pratap Singh Nayak, along with KPCC President K. Harish Kumar, will also extend their congratulations.

On this occasion, special pujas will be conducted at the temples of Chandranath Swami and Sri Manjunath Swami. Many dignitaries, fans of Dr. Heggade, devotees, and various community members are expected to attend the celebrations to offer their heartfelt congratulations and respect.
