Dharmasthala: Grand ‘Padabhisheka’ ceremony of Lord Bahubali on Feb 2

Belthangady: The ‘Padabhisheka’ ceremony of the idol of Lord Bahubali with 216 ornate ‘kalashas’ is set to take place at Ratnagiri in Dharmasthala on Friday, February 2, starting at 8:30 am. The event will be preceded by a majestic ‘Agrodaka’ procession.

Leading the auspicious occasion, Lalitakirthi Bhattarak Swamiji of Karkala Jain Math will deliver the ‘Mangala Pravachana.’ The religious festivities will begin on Thursday, February 1  with significant rituals such as ‘Torana Muhurta,’ ‘Vimanashuddhi,’ ‘Shodasha Kalashabhishek,’ at 9 am and ‘Nandimangala,’ at 4 pm at Ratnagiri.

Devotees from far and wide are expected to partake in the sacred rituals.
