Bengaluru: Soon after the recent cabinet expansion and the portfolio allocations, senior ministers including R Ashok, KS Eshwarappa, B Sreeramulu and CT Racvi have reportedly expressed their displeasure over the allocated portfolios. The stalwarts also showed their disapproval and expressed their disappointment over the promotion of Lakshman Savadi, Dr CN Ashwatta Narayan and Govind Karajola as the Deputy Chief Ministers.

Earlier today, B Sreeramuku called on the CM and held a discussion at the latter’s residence and made it clear to the CM that he will not take charge of the health department if he is not accorded the DCM’S post.

R Ashok and Eshwarappa also declined to take charge of their departments claiming the portfolios allocated were not prominent and up to their stature. The ministers are planning to visit New Delhi to hold a discussion with the party senior leadership.

Former CM Jagadish Shettar is the only senior minister who has not revolted against the allocated portfolio of Large and Medium Scale industries.

R Ashok was given Revenue department, Eshwarappa got Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, B Sreeramalu got health and family welfare, CT Ravi was allotted tourism and additional charge of Kannada and culture.
