Bengaluru: Simmering discontent has reportedly erupted the Congress party in the state. Senior leaders Dr. G Parameshwar and M B Patil are unhappy about the way things are progressing before the election.

Parameshwara has allegedly resigned from the Poll Manifesto Committee. It is said that Parameshwara was unhappy about the unilateral decision being taken and resigned from his post on the committee.

KPCC Manifesto Committee Chairman Dr. G. Parameshwar is allegedly upset about the unilateral statements and announcements from the party’s ‘big leaders’. He is reportedly discontented about being ignored despite him being the Chairman of the Manifesto Committee. It is said that the manifesto announcements during the Prajadhwani yatra in the coastal region without consulting him have angered Parameshwara.

AICC general secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala, who visited Parameshwara’s residence, is said to have tried to convince Parameshwara to reconsider his decision and persuade him to rejoin the committee.

At the same time, M B Patil, who is the KPCC campaign committee president, is also dissatisfied with party seniors’ actions. He is reportedly not getting enough publicity from the party at the Prajadhwanu Yatra despite him being the campaign Committee president.

The discontent has been a cause of worry for Congress, which is working to release the first list of its candidates.
