Bengaluru: For the allegations made by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on the corruption in the tender process of tool kits for industrial training students by the Department of Industrial Training and Employment (DITE), the department has come out with a clarification on Tuesday.
In its clarification statement, the department said that on September 21, 2021, a tender to provide tool kits to 13,000 students was called. During this tender process, a quotation of Rs 22 cr was quoted, which the department had rejected for being higher than the departmental budget. In a tender called in the month of December last year, Rs 15.99 cr was fixed. Hence, the department had saved Rs. 6 cr.
In its statement, the department stated that the allegation was far from the truth, instead, the department had saved Rs 6 crores in the tender process.
Meanwhile, the department has said that it was a false allegation with an intent to provoke people.
