DK DC Rajendra conducts DDMA meet on night curfew

Mangaluru: Deputy Commissioner of the Dakshina Kannada district Dr Rajendra KV said that everyone must strictly adhere to the guidelines issued by the State government to control the spread of COVID-19 and also the Corona Night Curfew restrictions.
He was addressing a meeting of the District Disaster Management Authority held at his office on April 10 before the beginning of the 10-day long curfew.
Speaking at the meeting he instructed the Health Department’s officials to increase testing, treat the infected and trace those who came in contact with the infected.
He reiterated that the restrictions and rules of the Corona Night Curfew must be strictly adhered to by the citizens.
Additionally, he said that PDOs, Asha workers and Anganwadi workers in the gram panchayats should monitor those COVID-19 patients in home isolation and should instruct vaccination for persons over 45 years of age.
“All district and taluk hospitals have been instructed to keep their COVID-19 inventory free of shortage. 2 Home Guards should be assigned at the border check posts in the district who must ensure that those entering the State must possess COVID-19 negative report,” he said.
