DK Dist admin lifts weekend restrictions at Kukke Subrahmanya, Shri Dharmasthala temples

Mangaluru: The Dakshina Kannada district administration has allowed devotees to offer prayers at Sri Manjunatha Temple at Dharmasthala and Sri Subrahmanya Temple at Kukke Surbahmanya on all days of the week subject to certain conditions.

Earlier this month, Dakshina Kannada deputy commissioner KV Rajendra had issued an order banning entry of devotees to these two pilgrimage centres on Saturdays and Sundays till further orders.

A revised circular issued by the DC states, fully vaccinated people will be allowed to offer sevas at the temples. They must also possess a negative RT-PCR negative, not older than 72 hours.

In order to avoid large gatherings and ensure physical distancing, seva coupons will be issued in limited numbers. The temple staff, including the priests, have to undergo RT-PCR tests every 15 days.

Devotees visiting Sri Subrahmanya Temple can have darshan from 7am-11.30 am; 12.15 pm-1.30 pm and 2.30 pm- 7 pm on all days, informed a temple official.
