DK: Police conduct searches at houses of rowdy sheeters

Mangaluru: The police conducted a surprise inspection at the houses of 83 rowdy sheeters under the jurisdiction of the Dakshina Kannada District Police.
During the searches, police looked for any illegal weapons. However, no weapons were found during the search, police added.
Police officials said, the searches were a routine activity. The department often conducts such inspections in order to keep a tab on the activities of the rowdy sheeters, they added.
Meanwhile, Mangaluru Police Commissioner said that searches were conducted at the premises of 148 rowdy sheeters and other accused in the commissionerate limits in the past 2 days.
