DK rains: “Strict action against engg colleges defying holiday order,” says DC

Mangaluru: Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Dakshina Kannada, Dr. Rajendra K V on Friday said that strict action will be taken against engineering colleges defying the holiday order.

He was speaking at a meeting held in the city with principals of all engineering colleges in the district.

He said, “Due to the incessant rains, the district administration has declared holidays for schools and colleges in the district. All must strictly follow the order as it is a matter of students’ safety. Any violation will be condemned and strict action will be taken against the concerned.”

“Also, a survey regarding the mode of transport used by the engineering students to reach the college will be done. The survey will include students coming from rural areas and those residing in hostels and other accommodations,” he added.
