DK sees some respite from rainfall

Mangaluru/Udupi: In comparison to the last two days, the amount of rain received on Friday in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts is relatively less.
Normal rainfall occurred intermittently in Mangaluru city. Besides, the amount of rainfall throughout the city was also less. Since the rain had reduced, it did not cause much hindrances in the discharging of Ganesh statues. Rain was also reported form Subrahmanya, Puttur, Sullia, Dharmasthala, Belthangady, Panambur, Bajpe, Moodbidri and other areas.
Heavy rain
A few times in the day, it rained heavily in Udupi district. Heavy rains were experienced during the morning and evening which led to power outage. There was also intermittent sunshine.
Good rain was reported from throughout the district on Friday. The sky was cloudy since the morning and continuous rain was experienced. Good rain was reported from Kundapur, Byndoor, Karkala, Brahmavar, Katapadi, Kapu and Padubidri areas.
According to the forecast by the weather department, good rain is expected in the district for the next two days.
