DK serial murder: Udupi SP warns stringent action against provocative posts

Udupi: Superintendent of Police N Vishnuvardhan has warned of stringent action against those posting provocative posts on Dakshina Kannada serial murders on social media.
Speaking to the media on Thursday, he said, “We have observed some provocative posts across social media platforms in relation to the recent events of Dakshina Kannada district. Anybody who tries to incite communal hatred, disrupt peace in the society and create law and order issues, will not be spared. Such will be subjected to stringent legal actions”.
“I request the social media users to keep an eye on such content. I request them to be very cautious before forwarding any such messages. The group admins should be very careful about such posts. We have kept a strict vigil on posts being made across social media platforms”, he added.
Meanwhile, he has requested the people to report to the nearby police station if they find such posts on social media.
