Bengaluru: A significant development unfolded in Karnataka’s political landscape as Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar and Home Minister Dr. G Parameshwara, who had previously maintained a safe distance from each other, held a confidential meeting, fueling widespread speculation.
Shivakumar visited Parameshwara’s residence, where the two leaders engaged in a secret discussion for over half an hour.
The meeting was conducted behind closed doors, with no entry permitted, preserving the confidentiality of the talks.
Sources suggest that the conversation between these two prominent Congress leaders focused on the political complexities and challenges currently faced by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
Reports indicate that Shivakumar’s visit to Parameshwara’s residence was prompted by an urgent matter.
Dr. Parameshwara is leading a committee responsible for the appointment of heads for various state corporations and boards, and during a recent committee meeting, he had expressed concerns regarding the appointment process.
Parameshwara had also suggested the need to discuss these matters with the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president. This is believed to have prompted Shivakumar’s visit to discuss the issues in detail.
