Mangaluru: In preparation for the upcoming Assembly elections, Dakshina Kannada District Superintendent of Police Dr. Vikram Amathe has been taking proactive steps to ensure the smooth running of the voting process. On Sunday, he visited and inspected several check posts along the inter-state border, including Murur, Mandekolu, Kolcharu, Narkodu, Kanyana, Saradka, Saketuru, and Anekal.
During his visit, Dr. Amathe provided guidance and advice to the police officers working at the check posts, emphasizing the importance of effective duty performance. He also visited several election-sensitive areas, including Guttigaru and Jalasuru, where he held public meetings to instill confidence in the public.
Dr. Amathe also warned a Rowdy Sheeter in Guttigaru and visited sensitive polling stations under the jurisdiction of Sullia and Vitla police stations.
Additionally, he visited the Adur police station on the border of Kerala state and held a meeting with officials from the station to discuss cooperation in ensuring effective duty performance at the check posts.
