DKS hits back at Ashwath Narayan, asserts deep bond with Bengaluru

In a fiery response to Ashwath Narayan’s comments, Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar asserted his deep-rooted connection with Bengaluru during the Kempegowda Utsav program.
Shivakumar stated, “Ashwath Narayan does not know about the history of my relationship with Bangalore. Let him know about the relationship between me and Bengaluru.”
Recalling his journey to Bengaluru at the age of six to pursue education, Shivakumar shared his early experiences attending the National Public School in Rajajinagar. He emphasized the significant contributions of Kempegowda in building the Bengaluru city and rural district, highlighting the ongoing development of the Kempegowda Fort near the Tamil Nadu border.
During the event, Shivakumar also paid tribute to three notable figures who played pivotal roles in Bengaluru’s development including Kempegowda, Kengal Hanumantaiah, and SM Krishna.
