Hubballi: Water resources minister DK Shivakumar on Friday dared BJP leaders to send him to prison if they had any evidence to show that he was luring voters by offering cash.

Speaking to reporters here on Friday he said that the BJP leaders have realised that they would lose in Kundgol bypolls and hence are making baseless allegations.

“It’s a habit of Yeddyurappa to make such allegations,” said Shivakumar adding that they could approach the Election Commission to lodge a complaint.

Further Shivakumar alleged that BJP candidate SI Chikkangoudar was threatening voters to cast votes for the saffron party.

He also made light of Yeddyurappa’s claims that the coalition government would topple after announcement of Lok Sabha results.
