DKShi invites BJP party workers in Channapatna to join Cong

Bengaluru: Claiming that several BJP party workers, leaders of Channapatna taluk were eager to join the Congress party, Water Resources Minister D K Shivakumar said that those who relate with the Congress’ ideology and principles are welcome to join the party any day.

Shivakumar’s statement comes amid allegations that the BJP is attempting Operation Kamala in order to topple the coalition government by poaching Congress leaders.

“Many BJP workers have told me that they are upset with selfish and ulterior motives of their leaders and expressed interest to join the Congress. Those who relate with the Congress’ ideology  and principles are welcome to join the party any day,” he said

Shivakumar, a Vokkaliga strongman, is the minister in-charge of Ramanagara district where Channapatna is located.
