DKShi to conduct spot inspection at Mekedatu on Dec 7

Bengaluru: Water Resources Minister D K Shivakumar on Monday, December 3 said that he along with a team of officials would conduct a spot inspection at Mekedatu on Friday, December 7.

Addressing the pressperson here Shivakumar said that the CWC has asked the state government to submit a Detailed Project Report (DPR) on Mekedatu. The government will be submitting the DPR at the earliest. 

He further informed that this project is purely meant for meeting drinking water needs of Bengaluru and surrounding towns. He further added that he is confident of convincing Tamil Nadu government to approve this project.

It is gathered that tourism Minister Sa Ra Mahesh and local legislators will also accompany Shivakumar in his Mekedatu visit.
