Udupi: Youth Congress, Mohammed Harris Nalapad has said that KPCC president DK Shivakumar will be the next chief minister of the State.

Speaking in the town here on Tuesday, Nalapad proposed that everyone in the party should support Shivakumar in becoming the next chief minister.

“The election is due in two years. If every one of us votes for him then he will become the chief minister,” Nalapad had said.

For the past few weeks reportedly the debate on the next chief ministerial candidate from Congress is ongoing within the party.

It was reported that the factions of DK Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah are continuing their battle for dominance in the party to project one of them as the CM candidate.
