Doctor checks patient’s blood sugar levels with BP machine in old Saath Nibhaana Saathiya scene

There isn’t a single bland scene on Hindi television that isn’t newsworthy.
Nothing, however, compares to the legacy of Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, which has provided us with not one, not two, but three absolute jewels that have been and will continue to be a cornerstone in Indian pop culture memes.

Rashi once persuaded the naive, sweet-summer Gopi Bahu to wash her husband’s laptop with water and soap since it was apparently “waterproof.” That moment, as it’s been dubbed, “lives rent-free” in people’s imaginations.

Yashraj Mukhate’s iconic Rasode Mein Kaun Tha edit of a moment where the mother-in-law, Kokilaben, gives her a mouthful for putting an empty cooker on the heat is arguably an even more memorable memory.

Now, a long-forgotten incident has resurfaced on the internet, and it will stay with you for the rest of your life. A doctor uses a blood pressure monitor to assess a woman’s blood sugar levels in a viral video that has gone viral on Twitter.

Allow that to sink in.

This time, though, neither Gopi Bahu nor Kokilaben were present. Someone associated with Gopi is reported to be the patient.

In the clip shared by Dr. Gill, the doctor can be seen pumping away on the BP machine strapped around the woman’s arm before she turns around, removes her stethoscope, and announces to Kokila that – wait for it- her sugar levels had dropped, which caused the woman to pass out.

The Indian Hindi TV soap premiered on May 3, 2010 and lasted two seasons with a total of 2,184 episodes.
