Doctor robs Rs 1.2 lakh cash, 51 grams gold from bizman

Chikkamagaluru: A 71-year-old fertilizer businessman from the district was robbed of Rs 1.2 lakh and gold jewelry worth over Rs 3 lakh from a hotel at Jayanagar.

GK Nagesh, a resident of Arsikere who owns a fertilizer shop in Chikkamagaluru alleged that a miscreant befriended him in a hotel at Jayanagar recently and took away cash and Rs 1.2 lakh, 51 grams of gold ornaments.

In his complaint, Nagesh informed that he had come to Bengaluru for business and booked a room at a Hotel in Jayanagar 3rd Block. On September 1, Nagesh went to a nearby hotel for lunch. An unknown person sat beside him and introduced himself as Suresh, a doctor at Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital.

Later they both went to a hospital as Ganesh requested Suresh that wanted he wanted to see an operation theatre. However they could not enter the and when he returned to his hotel he found out that Rs 1.2 lakh, 51 grams of gold ornaments and Aadhaar card, and voter ID missing.

Nagesh alleged the doctor had returned to his hotel room before him and took away his valuables.
