A woman who suffered a cardiac arrest while visiting a government school in Jumbo Savari Dinne, JP Nagar 8th Phase, to cast her vote in the Lok Sabha elections, was saved by a doctor who happened to be waiting in the queue.
The incident occurred when the woman, experienced a sudden cardiac arrest while attempting to fetch water from a nearby can in the queue of voters. Fortunately, Dr. Ganesh Srinivasa Prasad, also waiting in line to cast his vote, sprang into action.
Dr. Prasad, a 36-year-old Nephrologist hailing from Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, and currently employed at Narayana Health Centre in Bommasandra, administered Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) without hesitation, ultimately saving the woman’s life.
Eyewitnesses reported that the woman began to feel dizzy and collapsed, but Dr. Prasad, along with another individual in the queue, acted swiftly to prevent her from falling further.
Taking to X Dr. Prasad write, “As I was waiting in queue….one lady had syncope and cardiac arrest in front of me. There was no pulse and I started immediate CPR … luckily she got ROSC within minutes.”
