Don’t post offensive videos on social media: SP

Mangaluru: “It has come to our notice that a video of a man and woman in intimate positions are being published on WhatsApp. We will file a Suo Moto case against the culprits,” warned B M Laxmi Prasad, Superintendent of Police (SP) of Dakshina Kannada district.
“We request the general public not to publish or share wrong, offensive and private videos of any nature on social media. Also such videos should not be saved in the mobile or computers. This is an offense against IPC section 354 C and 66 E and IT act 66 A. If anyone published such videos, they will be booked for the misdeed,” stated the SP in a press release warning the public against posting offensive videos as well as private videos on social media.
