Don’t speak lightly about Daivaradhane, its part of people’s faith: Shobha Karandlaje

Hubballi: Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje on Saturday said that the ‘Bhootaradhane’ and ‘Daivaradhane’ are integral to the belief and traditions of the people of coastal Karnataka and no one should speak lightly about such feelings and customs.
Speaking to reporters here, Karandlaje said criticizing the movie ‘Kantara’ is perfectly fine. However, it is not right to question ‘Bhootaradhane’ and ‘Daivaradhane’ practiced by Hindus in coastal Karnataka and Kerala.
Karandlaje was responding to a query about actor Chetan Ahimsa’s statement. Chetan sparked a huge controversy by saying that ‘Daivaradhane is not a part of Hindu culture’.
