Don’t wish to influence voters: Puneeth Rajkumar

Bengaluru: Amid speculations that Puneeth Rajkumar was likely to campaign for Sumalatha Ambareesh in the upcoming polls, the Power Staron Wednesday urged people not to drag his name into election or politics.

Earlier, Producer Rockline Venkatesh had indicated that Puneeth might be among the star campaigners for Sumalatha Ambareesh, apart from Darshan and Yash.

Puneeth who wishes to be identified as an actor only, in a letter said that he did not wish to influence voters, including his fans to vote for a particular person or party and urged people to exercise their constitutional right of voting in a sensible manner. 

“Both Ambareesh’s and Deve Gowda’s families are our well-wishers. I pray to god to give both of them more strength to serve the people,” he stated.
