Dr B V Acharya among top 10 lawyers in the country

Udupi: On the birth anniversary of Rajendra Prasad first president of independent India, bar council of India celebrated advocates day which falls on December 3. Since last year the bar council of India has introduced the practice of announcing ten best lawyers from the country, lawyers who find their names in this list gets felicitated.

Dr B V Acharya, former advocate general of Karnataka and senior advocate finds a spot in the list of top ten lawyers from the country. Interestingly, he is the only one from South India to make the grade. Acharya was felicitated on the occasion of the annual day celebrations of the Bar Council of India at New Delhi on Sunday, December 3, by retired Chief Justice of Delhi High Court, Justice A P Shah, senior advocate, Fali S Nariman, and attorney general, K K Venugopal.
